Shalom friends!This Saturday December 3rd: Shabbat Hike at 10am at the Woodland Trails near Ramsey’s Farm. NO TORAH STUDY OR SERVICE THAT MORNING. Join us as we take a meditative hike, experiencing Shabbat in a different way!
Here’s a few other adult learning opportunities in the next few weeks:
Sunday December 4 at 9:30am: Join Adult Learning, Sisterhood, and Brotherhood as we welcome Rabbi Rebecca Einstein Schorr, editor of The Sacred Calling to to tell us about her story as a woman rabbi, from the pulpit to being a stay at home mom, from scholarship to being a parent of a child with autism, from getting 75 rabbis to shave their heds to editing a book on 40 years of women in the rabbinate. The book will be available for purchase from synagogue prior to the event or the day of the event at the discounted price of $18. Donations may also be made toward Rabbi Elisa Koppel’s effort to raise money for childhood cancer research.
Wednesday, December 7th, Hollywood Bible continues as we continue our exploration of King David’s story, now through II Samuel.
Friday, December 16th, Join us as we anticipate Chanukah with a special service, choir concert and potluck dinner. Service at 6:30pm, Concert at 7:15pm, dinner immediately to follow. You can RSVP at http://www.perfectpotluck.com/meals.php?t=DBUQ1369 . See you there!
