Shalom friends!
Join Cantor Stanton this Saturday as we continue to study Torah together. We’ll meet at 9:30am to explore parashat va’eira. To learn more you can go here. Joel Chodos will read Torah and offer a d’var torah at service-in-the-Round.
Here’s a few other adult learning opportunities in the next few weeks:
Join Susan Detwiler this Sunday for a Special Torah For Today aligning with the Global day of Jewish Learning. The topic will be: Shmita: A Cycle of Rest, Release and Ownership Shmita is a year of rest and release for the land. It can also be meaningful today as a marker of cycles, a time for personal renewal, and as a reminder of our responsibilities to others and the world around us.
Also, this Sunday, join us at Christ Church Christiana Hundred from 4:30pm-6:30pm to help make Thanksgiving Baskets for needy families. We bring together Jews, Christians, Muslims and Sikhs to work toward a better world. Potluck dinner follows. Contact the synagogue for a list of items to donate, and/or sponsor a turkey for $15!
Tuesday November 22nd Join us at Hanover Presbyterian for an Interfaith Thanksgiving Service featuring our choir and sermon by Rabbi Elisa Koppel. Dinner at 5:30pm, Celebration at 7pm. Contact the office for more information.
Wednesday we continue our conversations on King David! 5:30pm. Hope to see you there.
Finally, Saturday December 3rd is our Next Shabbat Hike! Join us at the Woodland Trails. NO TORAH STUDY OR SERVICE THAT MORNING.
B’shalom,
Rabbi Yair D. Robinson
