We continue last year's exploration of Israel through various books on the Israeli "matzav" (situation) and history. Together we hope to make meaning of the tragedies of this last year and learn more about what our connection to Israel and its people ought to be. This Fall and Winter we'll explore three books together: Noa Tishby and Emmanuel Acho's "Uncomfortable Conversations With A Jew" (9/22), Daniel Sokatch's "Can We Talk About Israel? A Guide for the Curious, Confused, and Conflicted" (11/17), and Isabel Kershner's "The Land of Hope And Fear" (1/12)
